Exhibition of the Qing Palace Bronze in Summer Palace

The Summer Palace launched the “Exhibition of the Qing Palace Bronze in Summer Palace”, aiming at reflecting the history and process of Chinese bronze-making in a relatively comprehensive and systematic way as well as the prominent position occupied by bronze in the culture of royal families through the bronze collections in the Summer Palace.

From May 13 to August 28, 2016, the Summer Palace and Haidian Museum jointly held “Royal Relics—Exhibition of the Qing Palace Bronze in Summer Palace”.

Exhibition of Art of Living of Emperor Qianlong

Given that Emperor Qianlong is the founder of the Summer Palace, Summer Palace Management Office has launched the “Special Treasures Exhibition of Emperor Qianlong’s Cultural Relics Collected in Summer Palace” and presented the exhibition in collaboration with Huzhou Museum, Changshu Museum and Shenyang Palace Museum. This exhibition is intended for introducing to visitors the colorful and glamorous life of Emperor Qianlong as well as the important link between this legendary emperor and the Summer Palace and meanwhile publicizing the history and culture of this grand garden.

From May 18 to July 6, 2016, the exhibition entitled “Unique Beauty in Garden of Clear Ripples—Exhibition of Exquisite Collections of Cultural Relics in Summer Palace” was successfully presented to the public, co-hosted by the Summer Palace with Beijing Huaxie Cultural Development Co., Ltd as well as Huzhou Bureau of Culture, Broadcasting, Press and Publication and organized by Huzhou Museum.

From September 10 to November 16, 2016, the exhibition entitled “Unique Beauty in Garden of Clear Ripples—Exhibition of Exquisite Collections of Cultural Relics in Summer Palace” was successfully presented to the public, co-hosted by the Summer Palace with Changshu Bureau of Culture, Broadcasting, Television, Press and Publication and organized by Changshu Museum.

From September 10 to December 20, 2016, the Summer Palace co-hosted the exhibition entitled “Quintessence in the Golden Age—Exhibition of Fine Collections of Emperor Qianlong’s Cultural Relics” with Shenyang Palace Museum. This exhibition is the fourth joint thematic exhibition organized by the Summer Palace and Shenyang Palace Museum as well as the feature display presented by Shenyang Palace Museum to commemorate the 90th anniversary of its founding. The exhibition also reflects the expanding business exchanges between the Summer Palace and important national cultural heritage institutions and museums.
