2. Exhibition of the Ming and Qing Furniture Collections in Summer Palace

As a key component of cultural relics collected in the Summer Palace, palace furniture in the Ming and Qing Dynasty boasts a pivotal position in the field of traditional Chinese furniture collections by virtue of its colossal quantity, intact system and outstanding value. Summer Palace Management Office launched the “Exhibition of the Ming and Qing Furniture Collections in Summer Palace” in collaboration with the Museum of Chinese Gardens and Landscape Architecture as well as Haidian Museum. Selected collections of furniture in the Summer Palace render a high-level introduction and exhibition of the Ming and Qing furniture and are fully affirmed by visitors from all walks of life.

From November 18, 2013 to March 20, 2014, the Summer Palace and the Museum of Chinese Gardens and Landscape Architecture jointly held the “Ingenious Craftsmanship—Exhibition of Imperial Garden Furniture”.

From May 16 to August 30, 2014, the Summer Palace and Haidian Museum jointly held the “Royal Relics—Exhibition of the Ming and Qing Furniture Collections in Summer Palace”.
