The Treasure of Imperial Jade– The Collection of the Qing Court Special Exhibition On the basis of the economic and cultural accumulation in Song, Yuan and Ming Dynasties, until Qianlong period, under the influence of the emperor's personal preference, the usage and the collection of jade was prevalent in the palace. The productivity of jade was strengthened, and the development of Qing palace jade were reached its historical peak. The collection of the Qing dynasty palace of jade is rich in the variety, which including rituals, sacrifices, furnishings, collections and other aspects of court life. Exquisite workmanship, unique shape, attractive design, detailed and elegant style, showing the artistic charm and cultural connotation of Qing Dynasty jade. This exhibition is a joint exhibition of the Summer Palace and the Qing Dynasty History Institute of the People's University of China to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the succeed of the Summer Palace application for the list of World Heritage, and the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Qing Dynasty History Institute of the People's University of China.
