A Rendezvous of Two Summer Palaces – Exhibition of Romanov-era Treasures from Peterhof's Collection

The Summer Palace of Peter the Great, also called Peterhof, is located on the shore of the Gulf of Finland, approximately 30 km west of St Petersburg. As the most importance imperial residence of the Romanov family, it consists of a spectacular ensemble of fountains, parks and palaces. Its magnificent palace complex and picturesque gardens bring together Russian and West European cultures, and reveal the marvelous accomplishment of Russian architectural art back in 18th and 19 th centuries. Peterhof is also the major museum that houses a collection of Romanov cultural and art masterpieces. This exhibition showcases a total of 228 items from the Summer Palace of Peter the Great.
