Vivid Touch in Yingta—Yingta Artworks Exhibition of Stoneseats in Exterior Furnishings of Summer Palace (2015)

The exhibition entitled “Vivid Touch in Yingta—Yingta Artworks Exhibition of Stoneseats in Exterior Furnishings of Summer Palace”, running from August 10 to September 7 in 2015, was co-hosted by the Summer Palace and Haidian University for Senior Citizens and organized by Cultural Development and Promotion Center of Haidian District. There are a total of 48 sets of yingta artworks of stoneseats in exterior furnishings of the Summer Palace. As a key unit for declaration and protection of the intangible cultural heritage of yingta, Haidian University for Senior Citizens boasts a bunch of accomplished yingta artists whose outstanding works manifest the artistic appeal of stoneseats in exterior furnishings of the Summer Palace as well as the marvelous art of yingta through comparison and contrast with the original photos of these stoneseats. The exhibition aims at exposing the public to the art of stone-carving of exterior furnishings in the Summer Palace by way of the art of yingta as the intangible cultural heritage and serves as an effective platform for the protection of stoneseats in the Summer Palace as well as the dissemination of the yingta art in Haidian District of Beijing.
